Terms of service
Effective 18 July 2026These terms apply to JOBE Recruit at joberecruit.com. They are intended for recruiters and recruitment businesses using JOBE for business purposes. By creating an account, accepting an invitation or starting a subscription, you agree to them.
Contracting party
JOBE Recruit is provided by Christopher John Howitt, a sole trader trading as JOBE Recruit. A valid postal or service address has not yet been supplied and must be added before commercial launch. Until this is completed, questions can be sent to chrisjhowitt@gmail.com.
The service
JOBE provides recruitment workflow, data organisation, AI-assisted extraction and coaching, lead research, reporting and client-output tools. Features may improve over time, but a paid customer retains the material capabilities stated for its plan for the paid period. Temporary changes may be made where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, provider availability or service maintenance.
The customer retains ownership of information it submits. The customer grants JOBE and its providers the limited right to host, transmit, structure and otherwise process that information only as needed to operate the service, follow documented customer instructions and meet legal obligations. JOBE retains its rights in the software, interface, branding and service materials.
Plans and team access
| Plan | Workspace and included benefits |
|---|---|
| Early Adopter | One individual recruiter seat with the Professional workflow, 50 included lead credits and the launch benefits displayed at checkout. |
| Professional | One individual recruiter seat with AI CV and advert processing, call transcription and AI Coach, jobs, candidates, pipeline, interviews, shortlists, cloud sync, exports and core reporting; 100 included lead credits. |
| Business | One shared workspace for up to three total users: the owner plus two members. It includes Professional capabilities, shared workspace records, owner and member roles, 250 shared credits added each active month and retained until used, branded outputs, advanced reporting, shared recruiter templates and owner-managed client links. |
The Business subscription price covers the three included seats; it is not a per-seat charge. Team members can create and edit operational shared jobs, candidates, calls, pipeline items and templates. Member spending and deletion are off by default: the owner can allow members to spend the shared credit balance, set a monthly credit cap per member, and allow members to move individual shared records into the team recycle bin. The owner is exempt from a member spending cap. Permanent deletion, team settings, invitations, member removal, shared credit-pack purchases, billing, client links, branding, transcript retention and the shared revenue target remain owner-only. Team members must use their own accounts and must not share credentials.
Removed primary team records are retained in an owner-managed recycle bin for up to 30 days unless the owner restores or permanently deletes them earlier. After that recovery period, the deleted copy is automatically purged. The owner can review a redacted team activity history covering safeguards, membership, shared-credit activity and workspace changes. These safeguards reduce accidental loss but are not a substitute for regular exports or backups. If Business access ends, member access stops immediately and the former shared workspace is frozen rather than discarded. The owner cannot open it without an active plan. If the owner later activates an individual plan, JOBE restores the preserved records into that owner’s individual workspace; if Business is later reopened, newer owner records are merged back into the team workspace.
Plan entitlements shown at checkout and enforced in the account determine access. A customer must not bypass plan or seat limits.
Trials, prices, taxes and cancellation
- Eligible first-time customers receive one free trial of one calendar month across JOBE paid plans, not a fresh trial each time they change or restart a plan. A payment method is required. Stripe displays either the exact trial end or, if the trial has already been used, the amount due before confirmation.
- Unless cancelled before that date, the subscription automatically starts and Stripe charges the selected billing cycle. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly; annual subscriptions charge the full annual amount and renew annually.
- Current base prices are £19 monthly or £190 annually for Professional and £49 monthly or £490 annually for Business. The limited Early Adopter plan is £5 monthly.
- The £5 Early Adopter rate remains locked while the original subscription remains continuously active. If it is cancelled or lapses, the place and rate cannot be reclaimed.
- Prices are in GBP. The Stripe checkout total is the amount charged and shows any tax applied to that purchase before confirmation. The public pricing page and checkout must be read together.
Use Settings → Manage or cancel subscription to open Stripe’s billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues until the end of the current paid period unless Stripe states otherwise. Except where law requires otherwise, fees already paid for a started billing period are non-refundable. Contact support promptly about an incorrect charge. Nothing in these terms limits a right that cannot legally be limited.
If prices change, existing customers will receive advance notice and the change will apply no earlier than a later renewal. The locked Early Adopter promise above is not affected while that subscription remains continuously active.
Lead credits and AI availability
Lead credits unlock the corporate-prospect records and lead-marketplace actions labelled with a credit cost. A qualified unlock provides the exact verified company identity, public company research routes and a target-role-aware pitch starter. A premium unlock may also provide AI-assisted commercial analysis, objection handling and follow-up preparation. A research route may be a search link rather than a verified direct telephone number, email address or company webpage. Credits buy access to that research service; they are not money, cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash, do not represent ownership of third-party data and do not guarantee that a business is hiring or will reply, meet or make a placement.
- The selected plan’s initial allowance is added when its trial or paid access becomes active. The same allowance is added each month while the subscription remains active, including when the plan is billed annually.
- Unused included and purchased lead credits carry forward until they are used while the account remains active; they do not expire at the end of a month merely because a new allowance is added. If a Business workspace closes, its remaining balance is preserved for the owner and becomes usable again when that owner next has active JOBE access.
- A completed one-time credit-pack purchase is added to the account shown at checkout. Access to use any balance still requires active JOBE access.
- The interface shows the cost before a credit action. A failed operation should not consume credits. If a technical failure leaves the balance incorrect, contact support with the approximate time and action so it can be investigated.
- A “verified” label is limited to the corporate identity, status and source expressly identified. Employee bands, scores, hiring signals, suggested decision-maker roles and outreach wording are estimates or AI-assisted inferences unless a dated public source is shown. Customers must verify them before use.
- JOBE limits marketplace-sourced contact routes to public corporate channels, such as a company switchboard, company-owned contact or careers page, or generic role mailbox. JOBE does not sell named individuals or private, personal, direct or inferred contact details and must not invent an individual’s email address or phone number.
- The marketplace is intended for incorporated companies and other corporate subscribers. A sole trader, unincorporated partnership or uncertain subscriber type must not be treated as automatically eligible for unsolicited electronic marketing.
Lead credits are distinct from ordinary AI features. AI and transcription require an active plan and remain subject to plan-aware daily technical, safety and abuse-prevention allowances that reset at 00:00 UTC. Paid credit actions are charged separately under the published credit guide. JOBE may temporarily reduce or pause a provider-backed function if the provider is unavailable, but will not describe unavailable functionality as successfully delivered.
Capturing both sides of a coached call depends on browser support and a shareable browser-based Teams, Zoom or call tab with tab audio enabled. Calls made through a telephone or a native desktop application may capture only the recruiter’s microphone. The setup check shown before a live session identifies the available capture mode.
Your responsibilities
- Keep account access secure, invite only authorised team members and provide accurate billing and contact information.
- Use candidate and client information lawfully, transparently, fairly and only for legitimate recruitment purposes.
- Give required privacy information and obtain any required permission before recording or transcribing a call.
- Minimise personal information submitted to AI services and avoid unnecessary special-category, criminal-offence, identity-document or financial information.
- Review AI-produced information before relying on or sharing it and keep a human responsible for recruitment decisions.
- When pitching a business, identify yourself, use an appropriate lawful basis, check whether the recipient is a corporate or individual subscriber, provide required privacy information for indirectly obtained personal data, screen the TPS, CTPS and applicable internal suppression lists, provide a working opt-out route and promptly honour objections. Public availability of contact information is not by itself permission for every form of marketing.
- Do not use JOBE to infer a person’s contact details, circumvent an opt-out, reactivate a suppressed contact, or market electronically to a sole trader or relevant partnership without the consent or valid soft-opt-in required by law.
- Do not use JOBE to discriminate, infer protected characteristics, make solely automated hiring decisions, send unlawful communications, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it, bypass limits or access another customer’s information.
AI and third-party limitations
AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable and is not a substitute for recruiter judgment, references, right-to-work checks, professional advice or a fair hiring process. Generated questions, summaries, assessments, contact suggestions and lead information must be verified before use.
JOBE relies on external authentication, hosting, payment, AI, transcription and analytics services. Their availability and lawful use may affect a feature. Links and imported third-party content remain subject to the source’s rights and terms; the customer is responsible for having permission to use them.
Confidentiality, privacy and security
Each party must use reasonable care with confidential information received through the service. JOBE processes personal information as described in the Privacy notice and the Security and data-processing summary. The standard Data processing addendum is incorporated when JOBE processes customer-controlled workspace information; customers requiring bespoke or separately signed terms should contact support before uploading personal information.
Availability, suspension and termination
JOBE aims to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Access may be suspended where reasonably necessary for security, serious misuse, legal compliance or non-payment. Where practical, JOBE will give notice and a chance to correct the issue.
Customers should export records they need before access ends. An account-deletion request does not cancel Stripe billing; billing must be cancelled separately. Provisions intended to survive termination—including payment obligations, intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers and lawful retention—continue to apply.
Liability and changes
To the extent permitted by law, JOBE is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost placements, lost profits, third-party platform changes or decisions made from unreviewed AI output. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Material changes to these terms will be dated and communicated in the service or to the account email where appropriate. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance; if a change materially disadvantages an active paid customer, the customer may cancel before its next renewal.
